THE ANALYST ROLE
We are looking for a bright and passionate public affairs analyst to join our growing team. This is an entry level role for someone to join our growing team with relevant transferable skills and good grasp of how Westminster and Whitehall operate. You will work with colleagues at all levels and with a variety of experience to support the team with successful delivery of political communications activity and advice.
Our analysts support client teams with integrated political campaign delivery, write research papers and briefs; analyse coverage and political developments; develop content and contribute to strategic planning. They are also exposed to the full range of our research and communications activities and given the opportunity to work directly with clients – gaining unique insight from leading industry experts and strongly encouraged to build their own political networks.
You will be responsible for
- Providing day-to-day support on client accounts, assisting the client team with successful delivery of communications activity
- Writing exceptional copy – political briefings and analysis, stakeholder briefings, new business pitches
- Desk based research to support client accounts and new business pitches
- Supporting your team with client administration such as meeting agendas/minutes, monthly reports
- Staying abreast of political, business, and social trends, whilst building your own network with clients to support organic growth and new business efforts
- Creative thinking – supporting the team with campaign ideation and planning
- Working with wider teams within the business (data and insights, policy, sustainability, and international offices) to ensure research and insights are made available to support client campaigns.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Previous experience working in a political / public affairs role, such as Parliament / Scottish Parliament / Senedd / Northern Irish Assembly / regional government, political campaigns, agency and / or in-house.
- A growing political and wider stakeholder network
- Knowledge of Westminster and Whitehall
- Exceptional research and writing skills and the ability to think creatively
- The ability to work efficiently on multiple projects to deadlines
