So what's involved?
In this rare and impactful role, you’ll be working within the Unsecured Impairment team within the Risk division. You’ll be working in a role that matters, and you’ll be given the opportunity to contribute towards exciting projects that impact on our customers and the group as a whole.
As one of our valued Analysts you’ll monitor, support, and provide analytical insight into a range of risk management processes, in particular IFRS9. Work closely with a variety of teams, Modelling, Collections & Recoveries, finance, and Credit Risk, to ensure risks are both captured in our Impairment charge and our impairment forecasts.
You will be joining a team that:

Is responsible for impairment reporting, forecasting and stress testing on our Unsecured portfolios.

Helps set the agenda for risk management by using analytics to translate complex issues and portfolio trends into actionable insight for stakeholders and senior executives.

Contributes towards strategic initiatives and regulatory change to support LBG’s aim of being the Best Bank for Customers.
- Places a strong focus on colleague well-being and development and encourages cross-product working across our wider team.
So what are we looking for?
- Interpreting monthly impairment results - managing, tracking and explaining the movements.
- Working in a fast paced environment with a highly analytical approach to problem solving and performing variance analysis
- Experience of extracting, manipulating and interpreting complex data with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly including presenting results to senior leadership
In addition, the following skills/knowledge would be desirable:
- Knowledge of impairment (i.e. IFRS9) methodology.
- Knowledge/experience of forecasting and stress testing.
- Knowledge of SAS/SQL.
- Understanding of Credit Risk lifecycle and/or retail product knowledge.
