Network Planning sits at the heart of the airline determining where we fly, when fly and with what aircraft.
The Network Analysis Manager plays and important role leading the capacity forecasting process, monitoring the financial performance of routes, preparing presentations and communicating the network plan to diverse audiences across the business.
About the role
- Leads the monitoring of network performance, route results and other KPMs providing and an integrated view across the network and tracking against transformation targets
- Reviews near term network strategy, providing independent but collaborative challenge to network planning decision makers and ensuring consistent approach to trade-offs across the different parts of the network
- Maintains ASK forecasts linking to the revenue and cost outlook and fleet/resourcing constraints, and provides key input into the Revenue Projection Group
- Co-ordinates the tactical capacity management process, in response to changes to the outlook and/or operational constraints to agreed timescales
- Prepares insightful presentations for Management Committee e.g. monthly route results review
- Leads continuous improvement of reporting and analysis of near term network performance
- Supports Operations and Commercial by providing and integrated view of network plans and soliciting feedback that supports network decisions
- Analysis and forecasts of costs and costs drivers, understanding for the and how the schedule should adapt
- Co-ordinates and actions competitor analysis
- Leads the route recovery process
About you
- Numerate degree or numerical proficiency in a similar role
- Strong understanding of aviation business, airline economics, and the commercial, operational and financial drivers of the airline, group, alliances and joint businesses
- Understand competitor strategies, fleet, network and schedules and macro-economic factors affecting demand
- Good understanding of airline revenue management, pricing, distribution, marketing and customer purchase behaviour
- Strong analytical skills, to challenge the outputs of complex analyses and ensure findings and recommendations are robust
- Excellent organisational, team-working and project management skills
- Good working knowledge of the main techniques, processes, systems and data sources used in commercial and schedule analysis and fleet optimisation
- Resilient, calm and effectively under constant time pressures, always seeking to maintain an exemplary standard.
- Outstanding communication skills
- Adaptable and responsive to multiple needs around the business and able to anticipate requirements
- Able to coach and develop people on how to approach different tasks and problems
- proficient in financial analysis, able to interpret route results and concepts including cost allocation methodologies and revenue performance
