AML Specialist
Our Financial Crime Team works in partnership with our business to protect the Society and its members from financial crime. In this exciting role, you’ll play an important part in a high-profile fixed term project.
About the role
As an AML Specialist it’s about following operating procedures, making sure that the decisions we make are aligned with our risk appetite and the current economic situation. You’ll be responsible for:
Discounting and investigating potential Sanctions and Politically Exposed People (PEP) matches.
Completing Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) checks on high-risk customers.
Undertaking customer outreach calls where necessary.
Performing quality checks.
Work to agreed quality targets and service level agreements while focusing on delivering an exceptional service.
About you
We’re looking for an experienced financial crime professional with a strong background in customer screening, EDD investigations and customer outreach. Additionally, knowledge in quality control checking would be desired.
An ICA Advanced Certificate in AML or equivalent qualification would be useful, but what’s most important is that you’re committed to building your own skills and knowledge in this fast-moving area.
You’ll be comfortable making big decisions, and with strong communication and relationship building skills, you’ll be more than ready to engage and collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
