Job description
Company background
Andra Jewels (Andra) is one of the largest manufacturers and wholesalers of jewellery in the UK, supplying major high street jewellery retailers, such as Argos, H Samuel, F Hinds and Ramsdens as well as many online-only retailers such as Very.
In addition to its role as a trusted supplier to these big businesses, Andra also trades directly with the public under its own brands.
Role
Andra is seeking a highly analytical, commercial and IT technical person to help grow its direct-to-consumer e-commerce business and provide support to the extended team on IT and Excel related technical matters.
The specific role for which we are currently recruiting sits across 3 of the brands which we operate, namely Andralok, The Jewellery Stockroom and LJ Designs. Initially the role will involve reviewing our product listings on the online marketplace Amazon and working with our creative team to ensure image quality, product descriptions and product tags are performing optimally. Once this exercise is complete, alongside our team you will embark on a series of projects to enhance performance, such as improving the way in which we use FBA, the use of paid marketing compaigns and using overseas marketplaces to help boost the visibility and performance of the thousands of our products which are available for sale.
This role will report directly to our technical lead and you will have regular contact and support from senior management.
The role will include, but will not be limited to:
- Reviewing our current Amazon listings against what we consider best practice;
- Uploading listing information to the brands’ Amazon pages direct from Linnworks, our inventory and order management software;
- Working with Amazon FBA to list our key products;
- Analysing sales performance, reporting these to management and strategically inputting into new product development to maximise sales;
- Working with our creative team to ensure all images are delivered to specification; and
- Working with our production and dispatch team to ensure key items are always in stock
Attributes of the right candidate
The ideal candidate will love working with numbers, be skilled at analysing data and will be able to use this information to make informed commercial decisions to develop our e-commerce business, in particular our Amazon account.
The following skills will be important in the role:
- Being knowledgeable with the operation of Amazon's Seller Central;
- Being proficient at using Microsoft Excel, including ideally the use of vlookup, pivot-tables and potentially VBA;
- Being able to write code to solve problems and improve systems;
- Being comfortable handling and analysing large amounts of data;
- Being able to monitor and interpret sales trends;
- Having attention to detail; and
- Being able to communicate well with all stakeholders including customers, colleagues in various departments and senior management;
Additionally, the right candidate will be:
- Intelligent;
- Analytical;
- Commercial;
- Hard-working;

- A self-starter;
- Keen to learn; and
- Ambitious
Support & training
Training will be offered in any respect which is beneficial to the candidate in delivering their role and will be provided by Andra Jewels.
Background
Ideally the candidate will hold the following qualifications.
- Degree: 2:1 or better (although having a degree is not a pre-requisite to doing this role)
- A-levels (or equivalent): 3 grades A* - B
- GCSEs: 8 grades of A* - B (9 - 7)
Previous experience of selling goods on Amazon is required, although it doesn’t have to be specifically relevant to the jewellery industry.
