Job description
The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts is a world leading provider of university-level performing and creative arts training. You’ll be working as part of an international community of creatives, performers, technicians, film makers and business people, who learn by working together on fully realised productions and projects. We enjoy a global reputation for the quality of our teaching, our world class facilities, and an enviable track record of graduate employment.
We are currently recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic Alumni Communications Officer to join our Marketing Team. Could your skills in communication help our graduates and alumni feel closer to us? Can you tell stories through different channels to help us celebrate our graduate achievements and demonstrate LIPA’s purpose of preparing our students for sustained work?

The Alumni Communications Officer will work on a temporary basis to support delivery of our overall service and objectives, and to champion our digital activity, during a period of busy work for the wider Marketing and Recruitment team. You will be expected to follow a brief and produce high quality copy, email newsletters and digital content, appropriate for target audiences, for print and online publication, and will creatively and effectively use social media platforms and the LIPA alumni web presence.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant first degree and have knowledge and demonstrable experience of successfully maintaining social media channels in any setting. They will also be required to demonstrate their experience of writing to a range of audiences to communicate and relay information to internal and external stakeholders and colleagues.
In return we offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, pension, 22 days holiday plus Bank holidays pro rata, and complimentary tickets to our inhouse productions. Hybrid working is available for this role.
We are looking for the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.
