The Treasury Reporting and Analytics team is a key part of Group Corporate Treasury (GCT) and is based in Leeds.

This role is within their ALM (Asset & Liability Management) Modelling and Forecasting team and involves being responsible for a team that models the divisional balance sheet and calculates Net Interest Income for internal and regulatory stress tests.

This friendly and supportive team plays a vital role in understanding and reporting on the divisional (both Retail and Commercial Bank) balance sheet and the Group's overall financial performance in a stressed market environment.
Job Description
What you’ll be doing:
  • Proactive engagement with all stakeholders regarding the delivery of stress testing modelling and reporting for the Group and its’ entities.
  • Lead with the modelling and explanation of key drivers behind risk exposures in stress testing to the Finance and Risk partners.
  • Presenting results to committees, senior executives and regulators.
  • Managing a team of two assistant managers and supporting their development.
  • Proactively contribute to the continuous development of the models/applications used for stress testing whilst optimally prioritising between inbound change, regulatory change and operational improvement.
  • Understanding and challenging customer behavioural assumptions.
  • Continually build and maintain collaborative relationships with Risk and Finance partners to support the delivery of quality and timely reporting in stress tests.
  • Planning and coordination of the stress testing process working with key stakeholders in Finance and Risk.
  • Responsible for leading and implementing robust processes to support team objectives including reporting, controls and management information.
  • Act with attention to detail and control to minimise operational risks via robust control frameworks underpinning processes whilst escalating and providing visibility to known risk.
  • Continuously challenge existing process to identify operational improvements to enable time for value adding activity and qualitative review.
Key capabilities/knowledge:
You’ll ideally have a Treasury background with an experience of stress testing and managing a team. Financial backgrounds with a broad understanding of Treasury’s purpose will also be considered.
You’ll have a good understanding of Excel functionality and capabilities to proactively review, challenge and streamline existing models or build new modelling capability.
