The Role
PwC are looking for a senior strategic marketer to join our Alliances team, reporting to the Alliances Sales and Marketing Director. This role will have three Marketing Senior Managers reporting to it. This role will work closely with the Sales and Marketing Leadership and in full collaboration with Heads of Marketing across the function.
The Alliances Head of Marketing will be responsible for understanding the commercial strategy and in response translating, developing and delivering a robust marketing strategy across our Technology Alliances. This role will also be required to ensure that all activations are aligned to annual joint business plans and embedded into relevant business priorities across the firm.
This role will have both a strategic and hands-on focus and be responsible for overseeing development and activation of marketing activity across all Alliances, in conjunction with our Marketing capability teams who have expertise in Campaign Management, Digital Marketing, Brand and Content & Thought Leadership. They will also work closely with sales counterparts and build relationships with Alliance Marketing peers.
The Alliances Head of Marketing will take responsibility for developing and owning senior stakeholder relationships in the UK and globally. It requires somebody to be confident with marketing strategy development and planning, understanding data and insight, audience segmentation, customer journey mapping, solution marketing, channel and content management, analytics and ROI measurement.
The Alliances Head of Marketing will:
Lead marketing strategy and planning across alliances with a focus on delivering sustainable commercial outcomes and is accountable for ensuring that quality and brand standards are exceeded
Lead a team of 3 Senior Managers in the Alliance Marketing team
Bring the client perspective and deliver the best of PwC to our key audiences through our go to market activity
Ensure that activity is in line with buyer needs, co-ordinated across the business and converted to opportunities for value conversations
Lead cross capability teams who are aligned to deliver marketing activity and campaigns for alliances
Be accountable for, and have oversight of, the marketing activity and campaign budget to ensure all time and costs are directed in the most effective way
Ensure that marketing activity and campaigns are continuously improved and experience, information and knowledge are shared to build on our marketing capability building across Sales and Marketing
Seek new ways of discovering fresh insight and new channels to market, to better engage with our audiences
Define short and long-term ROI measures and take responsibility for evaluation and reporting on ROI on all activity
Work effectively with other parts of Sales and Marketing and the firms’ Corporate Affairs team
Role Requirements
The jobholder must possess excellent influencing and communication skills to have impact with senior stakeholders, as well as demonstrating a thorough understanding of the firms’ commercial and strategic business drivers.
A proven track record of developing marketing strategies and plans and delivering impactful, integrated marketing campaigns is essential. The successful candidate must be able to communicate key business messages to target audiences, through a range of platforms and channels. Experience of digital marketing and automation would be an advantage.
Excellent project management skills are a must, as is a proven track record in content development and multi-channel marketing techniques. The successful candidate will also have excellent facilitation skills to uncover fresh ideas and to shape campaigns.
The candidate must have strong analytical ability, and experience of capturing, analysing and delivering recommendations based on ROI data.
Required skills and experience:
A proven track record in the creation of Channel, reseller marketing experiences (ideally as part of a Tech Alliances program driving Industry Solutions)
Excellent communication skills to lead a multidisciplinary team and agencies to deliver campaign briefs
Experience of working in complex, matrix organisations would be helpful, along with evidence of managing varied stakeholder groups
Ability to motivate and inspire teams through change and ambiguity
A sound business and commercial understanding as well as being risk aware
Strong influencing, negotiating and facilitation skills
A mind-set which demonstrates a comfort with testing, learning and optimising
A creative and innovative eye
Strong people management and coaching skills
An eye for emerging trends and a curious mind
