Airport Security Officer
Approximate salary including shift pay and allowances up to £32,000 based on our Fx roster shifts and an average of 40 hours per week

We are actively recruiting security officers, to continue our growth and, to help us prepare for Summer 2023.
Successful applicants will join us as soon as possible after the necessary checks have been completed, and undergo 3 weeks classroom and operational training to succeed.
What is the role?
As an Airport Security Officer, you will screen passengers and staff entering secure areas of the airport, to keep everyone safe. In return, you'll encounter countless different people and experiences.
You will work a shift pattern across all days of the week, including early shifts from 2.45am and late shifts that finish at 11.30pm.
What will you do?
After successfully completing training and passing the NXCT exams:
- Work in a small team with other security officers and the wider airport teams to deliver great passenger experience.
- Complete regular training to maintain our high screening standards and that of our regulator the CAA
- Check identification / travel documents and perform full security screening for all passengers and staff entering secure areas.
- Use colour based X-Ray images to screen bags and identify what is in them
- Assist with health, safety or security incidents
- Provide information for passengers about the airport and facilities
- Work alongside external airport partners to keep things running smoothly
- Follow safe working practices

This may be conducted away from the airport but will be in an accessible location.
Successful candidates require a Criminal Record Check and a Counter Terrorist Check. In order to comply you must have lived in the UK for the last 3 years, or been on active armed services deployment. You will also need to be able to provide the previous 5 years of checkable work and/or educational history, with references
Once appointed you will attend a 3 week training and induction programme to provide the necessary skills to succeed as an Airport Security Officer.
