Aircraft Refueller/Airside Operations Assistant
Gloucestershire Airport, Staverton
£ From £23,000 to £25,000 per annum DOE
Full Time Permanent position
Gloucestershire Airport has recently introduced a new fuel supplier and associated equipment.
We are looking for Airside Operations Assistant to carry out aircraft refuelling and other airside activities in a safe and efficient manner. Our customer’s experience is important to us, we are seeking an enthusiastic individual with good interpersonal skills. This position will involve the driving the fuel trucks, so possession of an LGV would be an advantage, although training can be provided.
The position is on a shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off and will include frequent weekend working.
Main duties include :
Refuelling duties.
- Carry out aircraft AVGAS, Jet A1 and ‘rotors turning’ refuelling duties, with minimal delay;
- Carry out all other fuel handling tasks as required, including accepting fuel deliveries;
- Driving of fuel bowsers;
- Fuel and oil quality checks and stock control;
- Manage waste fuel stocks;
- Input of fuel sales into system;
- Issue and programme new fuel keys.
Operations duties.
- Airfield inspections;
- FOD inspections and removal;
- Airfield security patrols;
- Assistance with aircraft handling in accordance with procedures agreed with the aircraft operator or handling agent;
- Meeting and greeting marshalling/chocking and assisting aircraft providing good quality customer care;
- Baggage and freight handling; May include fork lift.
- Escorting duties.
- Snow Clearance
- Assist with H&S legislation and risk assessment.
