Agriculture Specialist (Dairy, Beef, and Lamb)

NSF are a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification services. Our Agriculture team operate a number of plant and animal-based assurance schemes. We audit and certify that farms meet scheme owner standards.

We are looking for an Agriculture Specialist (Dairy, Beef, and Lamb) to join our Ruminants team, with a focus on post-audit activities. In this role you will manage the technical review of all incoming reports from Dairy, Beef, & Lamb farm audits, which will involve liaising with farmers, livestock haulers, dairy companies, and internal stakeholders on a daily basis.

Full training will be provided, so if you have good knowledge of the Dairy, Beef, or Lamb industry, with experience working in an agriculture/farming environment, we would like to hear from you!

The candidate we are looking for:

Good technical knowledge of the livestock industry with preference to ruminant livestock
Ability to make difficult decisions, approaching them in a fair and logical way
Problem solving skills, establishing root causes and what actions are required to prevent recurring issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly motivated and enthusiastic
Proficient with key Microsoft Office software, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. with a desire to learn new business-related software
Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time with occasional overnight stays away from home by car or plane
An understanding of the operation of third-party Certification Schemes within the Agricultural sectors would be a plus, but not essential as training will be provided
Previous team management and supervisory skills would be advantageous but not essential
