Agriculture Specialist (Dairy, Beef, and Lamb)

NSF are a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification services. Our Agriculture team operate a number of plant and animal-based assurance schemes. We audit and certify that farms meet scheme owner standards.

We are looking for an Agriculture Specialist (Dairy, Beef, and Lamb) to join our Ruminants team, with a focus on post-audit activities. In this role you will manage the technical review of all incoming reports from Dairy, Beef, & Lamb farm audits, which will involve liaising with farmers, livestock haulers, dairy companies, and internal stakeholders on a daily basis.

Full training will be provided, so if you have good knowledge of the Dairy, Beef, or Lamb industry, with experience working in an agriculture/farming environment, we would like to hear from you!

The candidate we are looking for:

  • Good technical knowledge of the livestock industry with preference to ruminant livestock
  • Ability to make difficult decisions, approaching them in a fair and logical way
  • Problem solving skills, establishing root causes and what actions are required to prevent recurring issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly motivated and enthusiastic
  • Proficient with key Microsoft Office software, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. with a desire to learn new business-related software
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time with occasional overnight stays away from home by car or plane
  • An understanding of the operation of third-party Certification Schemes within the Agricultural sectors would be a plus, but not essential as training will be provided
  • Previous team management and supervisory skills would be advantageous but not essential
