At Gregory Distribution Ltd, we have a vacancy for a Agriculture and Compliance Supervisor based at our Ernesettle Depot.
The position of Agriculture and Compliance Supervisor involves:
- Travel to undertake field and stockpile assessments.
- Liaising with farmers to evaluate soil conditions and best application techniques. Taking into account Nitrate Vulnerable Zone and Source Protection 1 zones.
- Liaise with transport team to plan Bio Solid deliveries and trackway placements.
- Maintain farm files to establish picture of farm history regarding fertiliser applications, soil sampling and store locations.
- Advising farmers on compliance with current legislation and use of governmental or EU schemes.
- Developing and maintaining a set central list of farmer and contractor contact details.
- Keeping abreast of agricultural legislation, government and environmental regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance.
- Based regionally to liaise with key agricultural stakeholders and landowners in regards to transport, tipping, storage and spreading activities.
- Assist farmers and contractors with the preparation of key documentation.
- Liaise and maintain good working relationships with local Environment Agency Officers.
- Report on product quality.
- Identifying new farm customers and recycling sites suitable for available product.
- Visiting farms to establish working relationship with farmers and contractors.
- Assisting in supervising daily recycling operations.
- Soil sampling to BAS guidance.
- Preparing and completing risk identification mapping.
- Assist with the development and implementation of new procedures and policies.
- Adhere to company and contractual obligations regarding stockpile inspections and completing all required paperwork.
- Report weekly on progress made with new farms and keep a log of available delivery outlets.
- Deal with enquiries and complaints from members of the public both in person and by phone or email where possible. Adherence to all Health & Safety, Environmental and Business Management policies and procedures.
