Job description
A Kubota Apprenticeship with HIGHWOOD is an opportunity to be part of the future of agricultural engineering and "earn while you learn".
During your 3 year apprenticeship, you will be eligible for LTA1 membership. On completion of the Level 3 apprenticeship, and some additional Kubota training, you will be able to progress through the tiers to eventually attain LTA4 Master Technician accreditation. The first 3 years will be delivered at Llsfasi College near Ruthin, North Wales. Following this course, continual technical training will be delivered at Kubota's training school at Thame, Oxford. The final award will lead to the full Kubota Diploma in Agricultural Engineering.
Each student will study everything from basic engineering skills to the latest technological advancements. Each course is delivered through both theory and practical sessions whilst on block release at College as well as visiting your dealership resulting in an industry approved qualification in engineering for their chosen product. Following each course continual technical training will be delivered at Kubota’s training centre.
Applicants will have a strong interest for the servicing and repair of tractors and machinery on leading industry manufacturer’s such as Kubota and a passion to succeed within a busy friendly team. The position would suit an applicant keen to become a first class technician who can demonstrate strong diagnostic skills and all round technical ability either within a workshop environment or at a customer’s premises who will have a good understanding of petrol and diesel engines, drive units and hydraulic systems.. Main responsibilities would include repairs, servicing, maintenance and the pre delivery inspection of new machinery. HIGHWOOD and Kubota will require a high quality of work and attention to detail - which is just one of many reasons why Kubota awarded Highwood GOLD Standard in the last Dealer Standards Awards.
