Agile Business Analyst - Inside IR35
Contract Term: 6 Months
Contracting Authority: The Health & Safety Executive (HSE)
Location: Hybrid (Remote with occasional travel to HSE sites when required)

Role purpose:
This role will support the delivery of the first project on the HSE strategy road map, to review existing operational structures and looks at options for redesign to fit with new target operating model. This project will be one of the highest business priorities for HSE in the 2nd half of 22/23.
Role background:
The Business Analyst will be working alongside Senior Project Managers, Digital Delivery Partner, workstream leads, BAs and CRD business users/SMEs to consolidate internal requirements. The role is a contingent labour backfill.
The main duties and responsibilities of the Agile Business Analyst would be to:
- Make sure outcomes are aligned with service vision and business strategy by contributing to the link between current and future business models and delivering to the business architecture
- Challenge constructively and act as a critical friend to achieve solutions that are fit for purpose and representative of customer value
- Facilitate collaboration and lead effective communication with all stakeholders to support design, build and delivery to meet the user needs
- Working with the development team and business to identify and analyse any gaps and impacts and make recommendations based on wide input
Outputs:
- User stories (as part of multidisciplinary agile team)
- The role holder will be expected to be flexible and support other areas of work as required throughout delivery
- Owning and maintaining an up to date Requirements catalogue that bridges / translates the purpose from business need to system development
- Act a point of reference and knowledge between the Business and its Delivery Partner.
- Ensuring that User story capture supports the future requirement for training manuals and Standard Operating procedures
- Providing documentation, as appropriate, to support decision making at all levels
You’ll have:
- Experience with Agile delivery and working as part of an agile team
- Experience in designing and operationalising workflow/resource models
- Experience in working on organisational design and structural transformation programmes including 'as is' mapping, process design, options appraisal, transition planning and embedding operational change in public sector organisation with 2,500 FTE or greater
- Experience in working across medium to large Business Change programmes, in government or similar public sector organisations, supporting the business in getting ready to receive the change
- Experience in conducting data analysis in support of organisational design and business transformation

As such the payment to the intermediary and your income resulting from this contract will be different.
