What you will be doing

You will be on a development pathway to prepare you to be a Buildings & Construction Project Manager and can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Set-up and manage Multi-Functional Project Teams to deliver buildings and construction projects

  • Define, execute and monitor a project delivery plan (Time, Cost, Quality)

  • Compile and present CAPEX business cases from preparation through approval to delivery and project close

  • Liaise with clients, consultants and contractors

  • Achieve project objectives (time, scope, cost, quality) to customer satisfaction in compliance with internal and external rules and regulations.

  • Define, implement and drive a project team/organization all along the project phases, including people coming from other functions (matrix organizations).

  • Ensure effective integration of lessons learnt

  • Ensure active risk and opportunity and contract (internal or external) management

  • Ensure effective management of partners and suppliers

At the end of the 2 year development programme you will be fully equipped to be a key player as Buildings & Construction Project Manager.

What we look for

To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate you have:

  • A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study

  • Recent graduation or first professional experience in one of the following fields: Engineering, Construction, Architecture or similar

  • Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)

  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation

  • The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development

  • Ability to lead, motivate and manage a Multi-Functional Project Team

  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders

Specific experience or interests in:

  • Project Management

  • Facilities Management

  • Health and Safety

  • Commercial awareness

Salary: £31,000
