There is an exciting new opportunity in the innovation space for African Oxford Innovation Fellowships Manger at Centre at Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Nuffield Department of Medicine working with outstanding African innovators to address complex challenges, playing an instrumental role in enabling them to develop technology start-ups, and facilitating engagement with technical expertise across the University of Oxford and with partners in industry.
You will be responsible for managing all admirative aspects of the programme including the application and selection process, logistics for training workshops/sessions, accurate record keeping etc. You will act as the first point of contract for innovation fellows and prospective candidates understanding and translating their needs, managing expectation and communicating opportunities. You will develop a good understanding of the university’s complex research and innovation landscape, contributing to identify and nurture innovation opportunities for collaboration with the innovation programme. You will also engage with academic colleagues and other internal and external partners and develop an understanding of their needs and motivations, clearly defining and articulating opportunities for connections between them and the innovation programme.
It is essential that you are educated to degree level or equivalent experience, in a relevant discipline. You will be able to manage multiple simultaneous tasks in a fluid and fast-paced environment, with aptitude to priories, collaborate and manage a large workload to deadlines. You will be highly organised, self-motivated and detail-oriented including strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholder and build relationships. Relevant experience in research, knowledge exchange management, coordination of training programmes, design and development of projects are desirable.
