Salary: £10.50ph
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Production Support role for someone who is looking to take on a new challenge within our Aerospace Department. Wellington Engineering is a leading engineering manufacturing company that has a 20,000 sqft facilities with over 30 CNC machines with a large range of ancillary equipment to aid the manufacturing, this role requires a keen and passionate individual who has a good eye for attention to detail.
The role will involve but not limited to.
· Supporting the production team within the Aerospace Department.
· Ensuring all parts are packed correctly.
· Raising Delivery Notes.
· Arranging Delivery/ Shipping
· Cutting material ready for production
· Booking in received material/ Parts/ Goods
· Adding parts/ goods to stock
Essential skills & experience Required.
· Previous warehouse/despatch and/or goods in experience (Minimum 1 year)
· Can use a band saw.
· Can work on own initiative.
· Attention to detail is critical.
Preferable skills & experience (but not essential)
· Engineering background.
· Can read technical drawings.
· Previous experience with MRP systems ideally Tricorn.
· Some machining experience.
Role is based on 39 hours per week.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7.30am – 4.00pm and Friday 7.30am – 3pm
Reporting Lines: Reporting to Aerospace Lead
Holiday Entitlement: Our holiday year begins on the 1st of December and ends on 30th November each year.
You will receive a paid statutory holiday entitlement of 20 days plus Bank Holidays during a complete holiday year.
Holidays are based on length of service; holidays are increased after 2 years’ service.
· 0 - 2 years’ service – 20 days holiday
· After 2 years’ – 22 days.
· 3 years’ service – 23 days.
· Service between 5 - 10 years – 24 days.
· Service between 10 - 15 years – 25 days.
· Service between 15 - 20 + years – 26 days maximum
Pension: Wellington Engineering automatically enrols eligible employees in its pension scheme, NEST
