Brief overview of the role

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our highly skilled team. You will join our dynamic Apprenticeship Scheme within Honeywell Aerospace in Yeovil. You will work alongside qualified and experienced Honeywell Engineers to develop your Engineering skills whilst undertaking part time academic studies.

Key Responsibilities


  • Aerospace Engineers will work primarily within a specific Engineering discipline such as Design, Research and Development, Stress Analysis, Performance Analysis and Project or Systems Engineering.
  • You will focus on all aspects related to the full lifecycle of systems and products. You will be expected to design, develop, specify, analyse, test, validate and modify designs and solutions to satisfy customers requirements and in-service Operations.


YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • Strong and confident communicator
  • Highly computer literate
  • An understanding of Aerospace Engineering processes and practices
  • Able to understand and apply complex analytical methods (Engineering mathematics- algebra, differentiation, function, geometry, trigonometry, statistics)
  • Understanding of Aeronautical Sciences and Material Sciences
  • Ability to demonstrate interest in an Engineering hobby or skillset would be desirable

Desired qualifications

An apprentice will be expected to have already achieved academic qualifications of:

  • A-Level standard or equivalent - Including two STEM based subject such as maths, Physics, ICT, Computing, Electronics or a Level 3 Engineering related qualification.
  • 5 GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) - Including maths, English and Double Science.
