Job description

ASL Technical are working very closely with a leading supplier to the Automotive Defence industry. Due to excellent company performance, a vacancy has arisen for an Electronics Engineer to work in the Systems Engineering department at their engineering facility. The position can be responsible for generating a broad range of electronic design concepts in line with customer requirements and in line with the engineering specification, including associated international standards or military standards. The role will interface with internal and external customers to achieve the optimum design through in-depth consultation with all project stakeholders.

Areas of Responsibility:

Participate in design coordination activities with other disciplines and design personnel as required.

Carry out performance calculations, using hand calculations, spreadsheets and specific software packages as required.

Produce top level system schematics from which detailed parts may be developed.

Produce a variety of detailed design and verification reports as requested

Produce and present material for major milestone reviews.

Oversee proof of concept and trial manufacture of components as required.

Determine the best, most commercially sound solution within the given parameters whilst optimising manufacturability

Education & Qualifications:

High level Electronic Engineering Degree or Masters

Specific / Technical Skill

Knowledge and experience in electronic design software

Good problem solving/investigative skills and data analysis skills

Experience of electronic design output ideally gained from within mechanical and/or aeronautical engineering or related industry.

Strong analytical ability and logical thinking.

Knowledge and application of Aerospace / Defence or similar design.

Pay: £48,812.00-£51,510.00 per year
