Behaviour Mentor

Location: Woolwich
Your responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with additional learning needs
- Assist students in accessing the curriculum and adapting teaching materials as required
- Implement individualized learning plans under the guidance of the SENCo and teaching staff
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students
- Support students in developing their social, emotional, and behavioural skills
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement effective strategies and interventions
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
- Promote a positive and respectful classroom culture
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role is desirable
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting students with additional learning needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Knowledge of strategies and resources to support students with diverse learning needs
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the individual needs of students
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
