Location: Carbis Bay
An opportunity has arisen for the right person to manage the package of care of an adventurous and creative young lady who loves swimming, dancing & riding her bike. The role is varied, and will include remote working, where you will support a lovely team of personal assistants, as well as supporting the amazing young lady in her home (Role is 2:1, so there will be no lone-working). The lady herself has a diagnosis of Autism, Learning disabilities and Epilepsy.
We are looking for an organised, committed and trustworthy individual who has a background in care and support, as well as confident administration and team management skills.
Support required:
· Personal & emotional support
· Supporting and enabling her independence at home and in the community
· Support with medication & meal preparation
· Support with movement via a handling belt and/or a wheelchair when outside
· Undertaking necessary administration for running of a 24-hour care provision
· Producing and updating care plans
· Creating and organising rotas
· Keeping staff records incl. training, holiday and sickness
· Ensuring staff members are paid by sending their hours worked to the Direct payments team
Rate of pay: £25,000 to 40,000 per annum
Total hours: Hours are negotiable and there is opportunity for a full-time salary. This will be discussed further during the interview stage.
Essential:
- The team work flexibly and cover weekends where needed. Any successful person will be required to facilitate and participate in flexible support arrangements
- Full driving licence
Desirable:
- Some knowledge of Makaton/key signs, although training will be provided
- Someone who can create a warm and homely environment at the beginning and the end of each day to help her feel safe
