An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist to lead the physiotherapy provision within the Virtual Fracture Clinic at Homerton Healthcare.

The successful candidate will provide clinical and operational leadership and management to the Adult Musculoskeletal Service and Virtual Fracture Clinic (VFC) teams, embedding sustainable clinical quality and service improvement through training; supervision; research; evaluation; continuous improvement; & appraisal

This is an important role within the Outpatient therapies management team and you will be responsible for leading the delivery of person centred, safe, efficient and high quality physiotherapy care within the Virtual Fracture Clinic.

The Outpatient therapies service is multi-professional across a number of sub-specialities and includes: Consultant Physiotherapist, MSK Sonographers, Advanced MSK physiotherapy practitioners, Specialist Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist, Specialist Paediatric MSK physiotherapists, Advanced Hand Therapy Practitioners. Therapy Assistant and Clinical Administration Team. The team works closely with, and runs regular joint clinics alongside consultants in Orthopaedics, Sports & Exercise Medicine, Paediatric Rheumatology and Pelvic Health.

Clinical duties within the Virtual fracture clinic duties will involve autonomously utilising advanced clinical practice knowledge and skills to provide diagnosis and management to patients with complex physiotherapy and fracture presentations and to guide and support others to do so; utilising extended scope skills to optimise the patient journey.

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and highly motivated individual to lead the VFC sub-team and support the wider Outpatient Therapies service. The candidate will have the ability to listen, engage and innovate; building upon previous service changes and delivering further transformation to support and continually develop the service.

There are well-established, structured profession and service specific teaching programmes to support staff to develop skills and knowledge to their full potential. Further training is available through an in-house leadership training programme and there are opportunities for funded MSc modules. There is also a strong commitment to Quality Improvement, research and audit and you will have the opportunity to further develop your clinical, teaching and managerial skills within this post.

The post holder may be required to work at other sites as dictated by the needs of the service.
