RCHT has a fantastic and exciting opportunity for an advance practice educator across all clinical imaging modalities sites in Cornwall
We are looking for an HCPC registered radiographer passionate about the profession who has clinical credibility and strives for professional excellence in radiology
We have a large number of learners throughout RCHT imaging departments, which include, student radiographers, radiography apprentices, apprentice assistant practitioners, and radiographers progressing through various post graduate qualifications in line with service needs and individual development programmes.
This post is key to enhance the personal and professional clinical standards and be a role model for leadership, training, and assessment of staff development at all levels within the Imaging department to support staff to reach their full potential and achieve clinical effectiveness.
The post holder will work collaboratively in development of educational, within the imaging directorate.
To be responsible for the coordination and provision of the clinical education component for the radiographer workforce and learners.
To facilitate practice education alongside clinical and academic colleagues
Link clinical education and practice and assist staff in bridging the gaps.
Develop evidence-based practice in the Trust working with managers and leaders to mentor and support staff to develop their practice
The post holder will be a highly competent, credible and experienced autonomous practitioner who uses their breath of knowledge and specialist knowledge and professional visibility and advanced clinical skills across the 4 pillars of practice to support the delivery of education and training across Clinical Imaging

To implement, monitor and review comprehensive and appropriate mentoring programmes for all radiographic staff and students working at the Trust
To promote good, effective, caring and professional radiographic practice at all times
To liaise closely with the Radiation Protection Advisor, Medical Physics Expert and Radiation Protection Supervisors to ensure radiation and MR safety legislation is adhered to at all times
To liaise closely with the Imaging Governance Facilitator and Health & Safety Lead ensuring attendance at mandatory training, fire safety training, fire drill practices and COSHH training and that such training is appropriately recorded
To ensure that all incidents and risks are appropriately recorded and managed on Trust systems e.g. Datix
