Admissions Supervisor

SEA LIFE Brighton, Marine Parade
Brighton, EAST SUSSEX, BN2 1TB
United Kingdom

Are you ready to come face-to-fin with some of the most JAW-some creatures you’ll ever meet? We have a fantastic opportunity for an Admissions Supervisor to help create the most magical and inspiring visitor experiences at SEA LIFE Brighton.

About the role

Whilst leading a team of Admissions Hosts as part of our wider Commercial Operations team, you’ll be passionate about the safe operation and management of the attraction’s entrance operations, along with driving sales to improve upsells and premium ticket penetration.

Our awesome Admissions hosts are the first team to welcome our guests as they begin their underwater adventure each day, therefore are expected to be role models on delivering exceptional guest interaction.

You will also drive high standards of presentation to ensure that all areas are kept in a clean and tidy condition throughout the day all whilst motivating your team to always delivering the most amazing customer service.

You’ll be responsible for the training and development of your team and will therefore embrace a passionate approach to guest care and actively encourage and support new and innovative ideas from your team.

The role also takes the lead to co-ordinate our on-site events, which can range from guest experience enhancing treasure trails, to excusive VIP tours to corporate dinner events after hours. A great opportunity for someone who has a buzz for creative output and taking on responsibility of planning and delivering activity beyond just the admissions function.

This role is permanent, working any 5 days out of 7 on a roster basis. Our attractions are open daily and so full availability is needed, including some evening work, weekends, bank holidays and during peak seasons.

So, if you want to be involved in creating magical experiences, we want to hear from you!

About you

We want you to be a part of our team if….

  • You have a passion for people and working as part of a team
  • Enjoy being innovative, fast moving and creative
  • Have expertise in driving sales and revenue growth
  • Have previous line management experience and enjoy developing people
  • Great attention to detail and a passion for driving excellence
  • Enjoy working in a supportive environment
  • Experience in improving customer service scores
  • Ability to organise your time effectively
  • Can deliver engaging and motivational leadership to a team

Why join us?

Alongside a truly unique environment as part of a great team of diverse people, which we think is the greatest place to work! We can also offer,

  • A non-contractual discretionary company bonus
  • 33 days holiday including bank holidays
  • Group Personal Pension Plan
  • Life Assurance
  • Merlin Magic Pass - giving you free tickets to all our attractions worldwide for you, your family, and friends every year
  • 40% online LEGO discount and 25% discount in our retail shops and restaurants
  • A best-in-class employee discount website

Perhaps the biggest benefits of joining us, however, are the amazing opportunities to advance your career. Merlin is a large, global, expanding business, so for a high-reaching and dedicated individual looking to go much further with their career, we can provide the opportunities and the support to help you realise your potential.

Everyone Matters at Merlin.

At Merlin we welcome the world to our magical attractions and resorts every day and we want to reflect that same multicultural mix inside our business too. We strive to create an inclusive and diverse workplace where people can be themselves, have the same opportunities and thrive together. Because at Merlin, everyone matters!
