A great opportunity for an Admissions Officer to join the University of Surrey within the Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions department.
The Admissions Services team is responsible for providing an effective and efficient admissions service for the University’s applicants. Working as part of this cross-collaborative department, you’ll contribute to the successful delivery of Admissions, primarily handling incoming enquiries from prospective applicants via phone calls, emails and live chat.

Role & Responsibilities:
You will be the first point of contact for University applicants, responding to all admissions related enquiries and providing high levels of customer service in a timely and professional manner. You’ll have responsibility for the processing of these applications, making decisions consistently and fairly against pre-defined entry criteria.
Other responsibilities include:
- Deal with incoming admissions related enquiries, primarily over the phone as well as by email & live chat
- Have extensive contact with applicants and staff at a variety of levels within the University, and external contact with other bodies such as UCAS, ECCTIS and the UKVI
- Participate in University Offer Holder Days and Open Days and other external recruitment events as required
- Administering and carrying out procedures for ATAS, fee assessments, applicants declaring criminal convictions, fraudulent applications, applicants with disabilities and mature applicants
You’ll need excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work quickly and accurately. You should possess good IT skills, including MS Office.
This role will initially be based in the University’s Admissions Enquiries team, however there may be opportunities to move to the Admissions Processing team.
