Job description
The Admissions Associate has specific responsibility for recruiting students for residential and day programs, resident admissions, coordination of referral review and application processing, customer service, admissions support services to other programs and areas, and dissemination of information about the agency.
PRIMARY DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
- Helps identify and recruit residents to The Center for Discovery
- Represents the Agency and disseminates appropriate information about the Agency to prospective students and other interested parties
- Works with the Vice President in the coordination of all recruiting and admissions activities of the Agency
- Works with the Vice President to develop and implement a recruiting and admissions program designed to communicate with prospective students, communicate admissions decisions to students in a timely manner, and to maintain all admissions files in an appropriate manner
- Works cooperatively to provide appropriate data for purposes of reporting, agency research, and agency effectiveness
- Works to maintain the integrity of the student and resident database (referral to permanent records) in order to ensure complete accuracy for local records, as well as state, and federal reporting.
- Assists to ensure compliance with external standards set by accrediting, regulatory, state, and/or federal agencies/entities
- Works to interpret and enforce academic rules and regulations
- Coordinates the application and data entry process to ensure efficiency.
- Works to coordinate quality customer service
- Processes changes in admissions and student records, as required and appropriate
- Evaluates records for placement, as required
- Assist in academic advisement and other areas of student services, as needed and appropriate
- Maintains ongoing contact and good public relations with students and staff
- Works to accomplish the tasks and goals of the Admissions and Records Office
- Works on institutional standing and/or ad hoc committees, as assigned
- Maintains confidentiality of information exposed to in the course of business regarding students, supervisors or other employees
- Contributes to a safe educational and working environment by participating in all drills and training and being prepared to take action should a health or safety emergency occur.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
