Background
City receives over 27,000 applications a year for Undergraduate courses across the six schools within the university.
The role is based within the University Admissions Office, which oversees the application process for Undergraduate degree courses.
The University Admissions Office is responsible for making decisions on a large number of these applications, as well as handling enquiries from prospective students, making fee assessments and awarding of some scholarships.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide a high level of customer service to prospective students and other stakeholders, acting as the first point of contact for enquiries and management of systems used by enquirers to contact the team.
They will provide support with data analysis, including providing interpretation of data in both written and graphical form, informing decision making in a number of different areas.
They will also provide support in a number of projects, including Confirmation and Clearing, as well as support to the team in admissions and recruitment related activity.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise and work under pressure, using their initiative. Essential skills include accuracy, attention to detail, strong IT skills (including an above average knowledge of Excel), the ability to adhere to procedures and regulations, excellent interpersonal skills and able to work successfully in a team.
They will be customer service driven, and able to communicate effectively and clearly with individuals from diverse backgrounds through a range of different mediums.

The role is available from 18th May 2023 or earlier by negotiation.

The selection process will consist of both an interview and a short test of candidates knowledge of data analysis and preparation.
