Founded in 1837, the Royal College of Art is the world’s largest community of postgraduate art and design students. Applications are invited for an Administrator, Graduate Diploma in the Academic Development Office. This is a full time and permanent role, based in White City.
Purpose of the Post
The successful candidate will work proactively to support the delivery, coordination, organisation and administration of the Graduate Diploma programme which is offered through in-person as well as online study. They will work closely with the ADO General Manager, Head of Programme, academic and technical support staff to ensure a high quality of the student experience.
The role will span all elements of programme administration across the student lifecycle, including recruitment, enrolment and induction of students, co-ordinating timetabling, overseeing the assessment processes as well as the maintenance of student records. The role holder will liaise with a range of professional support department, including Admissions, Registry, IT, Estates and will also work collaboratively to support activities within the broader ADO team.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent. You will have administrative experience of working in a busy customer-focused environment with the ability to deal with a variety of student and education related issues with tact and sensitivity. Excellent communication and organisational skills, along with the ability to manage and prioritise a heavy workload whilst retaining excellent customer service standards. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. A good level of digital literacy and proficient in the use of productivity suites (email, calendar, spreadsheets, databases in Microsoft Office or Google) are a pre-requisite of this role.
