Job Title: Administrator – 37.5 hrs per week

About the Trust

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is part of the National Health Service (NHS) and was formed in July 2010 with the integration of Mayday Healthcare NHS Trust with Croydon Community Health Services.

Croydon Health Services provides integrated NHS services to care for people at home, in schools, and health clinics across the borough as well as at Croydon University Hospital and Purley War Memorial Hospital.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • To be responsible for the timely processing and distribution of all incoming mail
  • Schedule new and follow up appointments, ensuring that capacity is proactively and efficiently used. This includes ensuring patients are booked into the right clinic to ensure that they are seen by the most appropriate clinician first time and for subsequent follow ups
  • Use the Trust’s medical transcription system and ensure that letters are processed in accordance with SOP
  • Reschedule outpatient clinics as requested, in line with waiting time targets and KPIs

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

  • Experience in similar role
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Good Typing skills
  • Microsoft Office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel
