New and exciting positions have now become available with us. We are looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our busy yet friendly community pharmacy in Dovercourt on a 35 hour per week fixed term contract for six months to cover maternity leave.

Most of the time our Pharmacy Assistants are in the dispensary assisting in the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions. On occasions it will be required for the Pharmacy assistant to be able to serve on our Pharmacy Counter handing out and taking in prescriptions, whilst offering advice on products and promoting the services that the Pharmacy provides.
It is desirable, but not essential that all applicants will have experience of working in a pharmacy for a minimum period of six months to be considered for this position.

Your role will include.
· Dispensing prescription medication and pharmaceutical products to patients
· Preparing prescriptions by counting pills, labelling, and compounding medications
· Ensuring compliance by monitoring the prescription-filing process
· Carrying out administrative duties and keeping detailed records
· Gathering, organising, and assessing patient information, including electronic patient records
· Engaging with patients and customers to answer their questions and offer advice.
· Liaising directly with healthcare providers and patients
· Seeking opportunities to engage with patients getting them nominated to our pharmacy and getting patients engaged into the services that we provide.

Rate of pay:
Starting at £10.62 with no Pharmacy qualifications and starting at £11.02 with pharmacy qualifications
