Administrator Role – Unit Personnel Office

Based in the Unit Personnel Office at HMS SULTAN, this role provides a broad and flexible service to meet the contracted personnel administration requirements of the Armed Forces (predominantly the Royal Navy).
Responsibilities
Tasking for this role includes:
- Administering Service personnel HR (Joint Personnel Administration) system accounts, including data input.
- Providing a direct customer interface and liaison with co-ordinators and line managers.
- Advising on pay, allowance, expenses and personnel management matters.
- Arranging all travel requirements including the booking of flights, hotels, hire cars and rail travel as authorised by the authority.
- Maintaining personnel documents.
- Carrying out any other tasks as determined by the Mitie Line Management team, including shadow training and support/cover for other Administrators in the contract area, when required.
An interoperable approach is taken to the delivery of contracted services and there may be a need to undertake wider administrative tasking.
Knowledge skills & experience
- Administration experience with organisational skills and a high degree of integrity.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to develop working relationships.
- Good all-round standard of education, especially literacy and numeracy (educated to GCSE English and Maths or equivalent).
- IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Ability to adapt to change and undertake additional training when required.
Additional Information
- The Contract operates a 37.5 hour working week between the hours of 0730 and 1700 Mon to Fri only, with a current arrangement of an early finish on Fridays.

MOD Security clearance and DBS Standard will be a required. To meet national security vetting requirements, you will normally need to have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years to gain a Counter Terrorist Check, 5 years for Security Clearance and 10 years for Developed Vetting prior to the date of application. All Developed Vetted posts are required to be UK Nationals.
