Administrator - Quality Contracts Dept. c£22k per annum - Oldham Based

Park Cakes is a c£180 million business which supplies cake and desserts to service the own brands of major retailers, there are two sites both based in the North West at Oldham and Bolton.

Our products include, high end celebration cake products, slab cakes and mainstream desserts. We mostly supply Marks & Spencer’s although we also supply other major retailers.

Job Vacancy

This is a new role which supports our Quality Control specification / contracts writers. It would suit either a graduate looking for their first role or someone with some work experience, full training will be given.

Example Accountabilities:

  • Liaise with NPD/other departments to gather information to assist Quality Contract Technologists in writing quality contracts which detail the specifications for our products and packaging e.g. photos, product codes
  • Input data into various excel databases to ensure data is available and up to date e.g. Sap codes, ingredients contained in products
  • Photograph products as necessary and manage/update the files of existing images
  • Assist in proof reading and checking various documentation
  • Diarise and prompt deadlines to ensure information is available on time to prepare product contracts
  • Assist in a variety of administrative tasks e.g. filing

Ideal Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Good p.c. skills including email, word and excel
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills to ensure deadlines are diarised and met
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate they are comfortable working alone in support of others and managing their own workload
  • Confidence and good communication skills are required to liaise with other colleagues and external customers

Working Hours:

  • Typical core working hours are 8.30am to 5pm with a 4pm finish on Fridays, although candidates preferences to vary these hours can be accommodated. However flexibility on hours at short notice is required to support business needs either side of core hours.

Package: circa £22,000 plus benefits including Contributory pension scheme, Retailer Discount Scheme etc
