An exciting opportunity has arisen within the HIV department at Croydon University Hospital for a skilled administrator to support in the management of patients who have been tested for HIV within the Emergency Department.
The post holder will need to have high level negation and communication skills when liaising with patients to ensure that they are being retested and booked appointments as appropriate; the post holder will also need to have high attention to detail and be fluent in the use of Microsoft Excel for the use of data management.
This post is for a fixed period of a 12 months.
To contribute to the smooth running of the HIV service by acting as a focal point of communication between patients, doctors, nurses and other medical staff including providing comprehensive clerical support and excellent patient care.
To support the growth of the established HIV testing in the Emergency Department (ED) and be required to maintain and manage their own caseload of patients
The post holder will ensure confidential and sensitive information is kept secure and that all work will be carried out in accordance with the Trusts policies and procedures.
To work closely as part of the MDT to care for our patients who are identified on our ED Opt Out Testing database – this will include patients tested in primary and other parts of secondary care
To use clinical computer systems ensuring patient records are updated in an accurate and timely manner.
To form effective working relationships with all colleagues within the Sexual Health and HIV services, Safeguarding services, Primary Care, Drugs and Alcohol services, Third Sector, Outreach and Voluntary organisations
