We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Support to join our busy commercial Agency Team at Whybrow Chartered Surveyors based in Colchester. Following the acquisition of the business by the Beresfords Group, with 17 offices and 250 staff, we are growing strongly and expanding.
Whybrow specialises in commercial property based in Essex and are looking to further expand our team across the South East, East Anglia and Greater London. As professionals in Commercial property, we provide services in Commercial Property Lettings and Sales, Surveying, Valuations and Property Management for our clients.

Duties (including but not limited to):
- General administrative support to a lively, busy commercial property agency team
- Client and Tenant/Buyer file management
- Data Entry
- Credit Checking – Ensure procedures are overseen and undertaken correctly
- Audio Typing onto templates and ensuring these documents are turned around in a timely manner, in line with company KPIs
- Archiving and keeping files and records in a correct order under compliance procedures
- Telephony support to a high level - dealing with an array of clients and tenants
- Preparing reports for department weekly meetings and ensuring fully up to date
- Client and applicant updating
- Managing key releases as per surveyor instructions – keeping our registers in RICS compliance
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in an administrative role is required
- Previous experience in the commercial or residential property sector would be beneficial but not essential
- A highly developed sense of customer service
- Highly organised with a keen eye for detail
- Interpersonal skills, with exceptional written & verbal communication skills.
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Problem solving skills
Location
You will be based in Colchester. However, with a Branch network of 17 offices throughout Essex, there may be opportunities to work from these or our HQ in Chelmsford on occasions.
Hours of Work
Full time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
£20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience
