Hillcrest Early Years Academy are looking to recruit a reliable Administrative Support Assistant to join our vibrant and dynamic staff team.
The successful applicant will be required to attend various meetings throughout the year either in person or via Teams. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team & the Chair of Trustees.
It is essential that you have excellent, communication, literacy and ICT skills that will enable you to facilitate meetings and produce accurate minutes within set timescales.
The role is flexible and will involve a mix of working from home as well as school-based hours so you will need to be self-motivated, well organised and have meticulous attention to detail. Previous administration experience would be desirable.
We are looking for a person to:
- Provide proactive support with preparing a focused agenda, including the production of a draft agenda for each meeting and setting the cycle of trust board and committee meetings.
- Issue the agenda and all the supporting paperwork.
- Attend at meetings to take minutes and provide advice on governance issues, when required. Previous experience of this is not essential and there will be CPD to support you in this role.
- Prepare, amend and issue the minutes in a timely manner.
- Provide general administrative support for the Board of Trustees
- Understand and abide by the confidential nature of the role at all times.
- Updating various information
- Recruitment and induction of new trustees and members.
- Looking at governance updates and applying to the academy where needed.
- Satisfy all aspects of meeting compliance as stipulated in the trust’s articles of association and the Academies Financial Handbook, and in accordance with arrangements agreed by the board of Trustees.
