Due to continuing business growth at Pavers in our Home Shopping channel, we are continuing to expand our Digital Marketing department and we are looking for a full time Paid Search Assistant to join us in either our York Head Office(YO26) or Leeds(LS1). You’ll take on a new role that has fast track training attached, to get you up to a Paid Search Executive level. Once there, you’ll support driving customer acquisition and customer retention across the marketing mix for our successful family owned and run retail business.
The ideal candidate will a have an excellent opportunity to learn the fundamentals of and to forge a successful career in Paid Search and digital marketing. You will have the opportunity to learn and receive mentoring from established industry experts across a multitude of Paid Search channels, including: Google Ads, Bing Ads, Pinterest and Facebook Ads.
We’ve recently completed in housing of all paid digital activity from agency and this role will be fundamental helping to grow the digital marketing channels in the UK and internationally. It will provide the ideal candidate with the opportunity to take ownership and manage an exciting portfolio of accounts, utilising the latest cutting edge marketing technologies.
Our ideal candidate will have a good foundation of Digital Marketing knowledge and must have some previous digital marketing work experience, be highly analytical with a head for numbers and data and want to specialise in the Paid Search area of digital marketing.
N.B. Initially, if being Leeds based is your preference, you will need to come to the York Office 2 days per week for training. Some hybrid working will be available after full induction is completed.
Main duties of our Paid Search Assistant:
In-Training - In-house training by industry experts to be proficient in the following areas:
- Paid Search – GAds, Bing Ads management
- Paid Social – Facebook Ads Manager & Meta Business Suite
- Programmatic Display
- Google Merchant Centre
- Shopping Feed creation, manipulation and optimisation, using 3rd party feed software
- Google Analytics GA360 and GA4
- SA360, DV360, CM360 management platforms
- Google Tag Manager
- In-house reporting suite of software
Post Training - you will be able to do the following and once fully competent we will revaluate for Exec level
- Paid Search & Paid Social campaign management and the optimisation of the accounts for the Pavers and Jones Bootmaker brands across UK and international territories
- Maintain & Optimise GAds & Bing paid campaigns, conduct keyword research, campaign set up with daily monitoring with a strong efficiency and conversion focus.
- Manage and optimising of Pmax keyword and video (YouTube) based campaign types
- Design, manage and optimisation of multi-channel shopping feeds
- Utilise and analyse the full marketing funnel to optimise multi-platform account to keen business KPIs
- Reporting of campaign/channel performance to senior stakeholders on a weekly/adhoc basis
- Design and briefing of static and video assets online advertising assets in line with best practices
- Monitor and report on online activity and recommend changes needed to be employed across the paid activity
- Identify new and innovative ways to market to new customer groups, identifying new customer recruitment/customer acquisition opportunities. Investment for new ideas is actively encouraged and significant funds are available to support this. Ideas are the constraint not the investment
- Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager. You will liaise with and help develop the wider paid media strategy
- Have a proactive test and learn philosophy
Requirements to be of our Paid Search Assistant:
- 1 year previous digital marketing experience
- Be a highly analytical individual, with a passion for problem solving and be able to identify trends and propose actions as a result
- Willingness to learn new skills from industry experts
- Have excellent organisational skills
- Have strong presentation skills
- Have a strong test and learn methodology
- Be commercially aware and customer focused
- Be a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills

Salary: up to £23,000 depending on experience plus pay review when you reach Exec level
