An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operational Support Administrator to join the team in Morecambe Bay. The postholder will be based in the Furness Area Group with a requirement on occasion to travel and support other sectors, attend meetings and training. The option for remote working may be considered. This is a substantive, full time – 37.50 hours, band 4 post.
The successful applicant will be required to provide a high quality, confidential, efficient and comprehensive administration service to the management team in delivering services across Morecambe Bay. Duties are wide and varied and will include the preparation of reports, stock ordering, personnel record management, the preparation and submission of payroll information, the management and maintenance of multiple electronic staff records, planning and arranging training, ad hoc reporting for the management team and tracking of progress against targets to ensure all key performance indicators are met.
The post holder will be an effective communicator and possess excellent time management skills to manage and meet an ever-changing workload and deadlines whilst maintaining an effective and confidential administrative service at all times. You will be persuasive, influential, assertive and be able to work alone or as part of wider teams including healthcare and non-healthcare professionals, staff, management and secretariat teams across the local area. You will be expected to undertake ongoing cpd and maintain a high level of compliance with your own mandatory training.
You will be computer literate and have a broad knowledge of the Microsoft office suite. Two years’ experience in an administrative role is essential as is an NVQ3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience.

Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
