Do you have experience with administration in either a professional or school capacity? Our thriving academy is looking to appoint a dedicated and resourceful individual as Administrative Officer to support the academy's admin office across Harris Academy Purley.

Main Areas of Responsibility
The purpose of your role will be:
Organisation
- Undertake reception duties, answering general telephone and face to face enquiries and signing in visitors, dealing with parental and visitor enquiries and supporting student enquiries.
- Assist with pupil first aid/welfare duties, looking after sick pupils, liaising with parents/staff etc.
- Assist in arrangements for school trips, events etc.
Administration
- Provide general clerical/admin support e.g. photocopying, filing, faxing, e-mailing, completing standard forms, responding to routine correspondence
- Maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems.
- Produce lists/information/data as required, e.g. pupils’ data.
- Undertake typing, word processing and other IT based tasks.
- Take notes at meetings.
- Sort and distribute mail.
- Undertake administrative procedures.
- Maintain and collate pupil reports.
- Undertake routing administration of school lettings and other uses of school premises.
- Provide timely and effective operation of secretarial and administrative support to the line manager.
- Assist the Academy by maintaining good relationships with staff, parents, governors, contractors, representatives and external agencies in order to promote the objectives of the School.
- Clerk the governing body meetings, preparing agendas, papers and minutes and keeping records as required.
- Other duties as may reasonably be requested by the line manager.
Other Duties
- Be involved in Academy duties.
- Be involved in trips and educational visits.
- Be aware of and comply with Academy policies and legal requirements.
- Be a role model the Academy’s values.
- Contribute to the overall ethos of the Academy and be committed to helping students access learning.
- Engage actively in the Academy’s performance management system;
- Participate in in-service training as appropriate, and commit to your own continuous professional development.
