An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administration manager in the Gastroenterology Department.
We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic individual to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will be able to provide effective management of the administration teams whilst supporting exciting project work alongside the multidisciplinary teams.
We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills and a dynamic approach to problem solving in order to maximise performance. The role will suit someone looking to develop their knowledge of key NHS performance targets and service improvement skills.
This role will be focused on our Endoscopy Service, managing our Endoscopy booking team.
- Support the admin teams as required.
- Responsible for the monitoring of all processes and key performance indicators related to the service and to provide cross-service support where necessary.
- Oversee data capture and challenges to support the delivery of the 18 week RTT standard and 62 day Cancer Pathway, including attendance at PTL and review of longest waiters.
- Support the set up and management of multi-disciplinary meetings that support optimal patient pathways within the service.
- Support the Outpatient and Endoscopy operational groups.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of IT systems within the department
- Prepare and share staff briefings for the whole department.
- Provide support to key meetings within the service, such as Clinical Governance.
- The post holder will be expected to contribute to the collection and analysis of data, assess the service needs, develop improvement programmes and implement subsequent action plans where necessary.
- The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that patient pathways are administered in a timely manner, within access timeframes, ensuring that patients are booked in to relevant clinics and sessions as appropriate with clinical guidance, for outpatient and diagnostic clinics.
- Be responsible for the organisation and coordination of all work processes appropriately in relation to the hospital IT systems including Millennium and PPM, ensuring quality standards are met.
