Secondment/ fixed term for 9 months to cover substantive post holders maternity leave
- Secondment Opportunity – Existing permanent employees must first discuss this opportunity with their substantive line manager and complete the secondment request form prior to interview. The secondment request form and the associated secondment policy can be found on the HR/Recruitment intranet pages and must be completed and signed by the substantive line manager. The Candidate should then take it with them to interview as confirmation that an agreement has been granted.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic administrator within the Scottish Centre for Simulation and Clinical Human Factors (SCSCHF)
The post holder should have relevant experience working in an administrative environment and have experience of working with a range of staff. You will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must have a good working knowledge of IT applications, good organisational skills and a working knowledge of office procedures. You should have worked as part of a team previously.
Duties include:-
- Data collection of all evaluation and feedback from all courses
- Administrative support to the Clinical Education manager
- Arranging Purchase orders
- Advertising of courses on an ongoing basis on the SCSCHF website
- Assist with the scheduling of national and local courses
- Allocating places on courses, ensuring application is appropriate and highlighting potential problems to relevant staff/faculty
- Maintain attendance lists/waiting lists on computer and file
- Responding to correspondence, email and telephone enquiries
- Manage petty cash
- Correspond with participants and ensure that they receive information and pre-course materials in good time
- Arrange for finance to issue invoices for course fees and record information to reconcile with finance reports
- Stationary ordering
- Process accommodation and travel expense claims for external/Internal staff
- Manage workload unsupervised and use own initiative, knowledge and experience to make decisions regarding workload priorities
The post holder will support the Clinical Education Manager in the day to day running of the service. The service affords a friendly and progressive place to work.
The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete a Standard Police Act Disclosure Scotland Check.
