Analogue Wonderland is a family-run and independent UK online retailer specialising in photographic film. We are thrilled to announce the recent addition of SilverPan Film Lab, a renowned film processing lab in Bristol joining our AW family.

SilverPan Film Lab is a super friendly and well-known film processing and printing lab, with its exceptional quality and tailored services means they go the extra mile to make sure customers are satisfied and happy with the results.

The Role

We are looking for enthusiastic folk to join SilverPan in Bristol to assist the team with the daily admin tasks involved in running a lab. Training would be provided, but some prior knowledge and experience of the key responsibilities would be required.

The ideal candidate is organised and methodical, passionate about providing a great service, and a great communicator within a team.

The key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the customer experience in-person
  • Handling customer sales and orders directly in the shop
  • Assist customers with placing orders, processing returns and exchanges
  • Opening & Logging incoming film through the post
  • Packaging and sending out the developed film in the post
  • Keeping the various databases and log sheets updated as film travels through the system
  • Assistance with inventory and ordering
  • Assisting and replying to customer enquiries via email/other systems
  • Quality control
  • Assisting and supporting with the lab when needed

Desirable but not essential:

  • Operation of C41 minilab
  • Knowledge and experience of manual and semi – automated film processing
  • Experience of developing all common film processes (BW/C41/E6)

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • High computer literacy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Handling stressful situations whilst remaining calm
  • Demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments (preferred)
  • Interest / passion for film photography (preferred)
  • As we run a small business, be willing to “roll your sleeves up” and perform any other duties required to make SilverPan/ AW a success

Salary: £10.90 per hour

Schedule:

  • Hours of work can be flexible between 9am and 5pm Monday- Saturday
  • Ideal candidate would be able to open up the shop at 9am

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25-40 per week
