The Central Administration team, within the Research and Innovation department, are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Administrator with excellent communication, organisational and team working skills for 14.5 hours per week. The role holder will work closely with an existing Administrative Assistant already in post.
The successful candidate will be required to support administration processes within the department’s activities, with a particular focus on supporting quality and compliance. The role holder will need to be flexible and confident and able to work as part of a team but also use their own initiative within the remit of the role. You will have some experience of using Office 365, and of using administrative processes to organise and deliver your work. You will have great communication skills both in person and in writing, and will work with internal and external stakeholders, providing day to day online and in person support with administration tasks. Knowledge and experience of procurement and general Health and Safety requirements would be an advantage.
This is a wide-ranging role, enabling you to work directly with different teams within the Research and Innovation field. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you can demonstrate your ability to meet deadlines and provide and excellent service to all our stakeholders. You will be involved in a variety of tasks including procurement, triaging the administration email inbox, maintaining and advising on annual entitlement leave, supporting directors in managing their diaries and an array of tasks required for the smooth running of the office.
This role is based in the Yang Fujia building on our Jubilee Campus, with occasional time at University Park as directed. This position is offered on a permanent basis. Hours of work are on part time/job share basis of 14.5 hours per week; full days Thursday and Friday, or pro rata over Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
