administrative assistant Sheffield, England
Job description
The Faculty Research Institutes and Centres and senior research fellows play a key role in supporting the Faculty’s interdisciplinary research ambitions. There are five interdisciplinary centres: Sheffield Political Economy Research Institute (SPERI), Sheffield Urban Institute, Institute for Global Sustainable Development (IGSD), iHuman and the ESRC Centre for Care.
Sheffield Political Economy Research Institute (SPERI) is an international institute committed to developing and promoting new analysis and understanding of contemporary capitalism, and of the major economic and political challenges arising from it. Its community of researchers, policymakers, journalists and practitioners seek to bring together the multidisciplinary expertise and partnerships needed to understand complex and long-term politicaleconomic issues.
Prof Colin Hay is the lead editor of the international journal Comparative European Politics, based in the Sheffield Political Economy Research Institute (SPERI). This is an exciting part-time opportunity for a Journal Administrator to support Prof Hay and the editorial team. The post-holder will liaise with Colin Hay, the two other editors and the US editorial office in New York, together with the production team for the journal at Palgrave Macmillan in ensuring the timely review and publication of academic articles submitted to the journal.
