Job description
As an administrative assistant you will be responsible for a varied range of admin tasks working alongside the clinical duty team and ultrasound department.
Working alongside the duty team you will be responsible for actioning instructions from the duty clinician utilising our KLINIK system. You will also aid the ultrasounds admin team to ensure the ensure the service continues to run smoothly.
Duties:
- Communicating with duty clinicians and actioning their instructions.
- Booking patient appointments for both duty and ultrasound teams.
- Requesting further information from patients where required.
- Communicating with patients or their carers by telephone or Accurx where appropriate.
- Adding information and documents to patients records.
- Communicating with duty clinicians regarding any capacity issues.
- Sending urgent ultrasound reports where necessary.

Reliability and attention to detail is important for this role as is clear communication skills as you will be responsible for ensuring that all patients are communicated with in a timely manner. As mentioned above it is also essential that you are able to communicate with duty clinicians regarding any capacity issues or inability to act on instructions.
Training will be provided for the successful applicant to ensure that they are fully capable of carrying out all duties and responsibilities. There will be a number of positions available for this role with admin support being required between the hours of 7:45am and 6pm Monday to Friday.
