As Sound Pop Academy continues to expand, we’re looking to recruit an experienced Administrator who can support day to day administrative tasks within the business.
Work location - Remote & office based work (MAST Mayflower Studios, Southampton)
Pay - £11 per hour
Hours - 8 per week (days of the week worked to be decided)
Reports to - Co-Director
This role will be suitable for someone who is looking to return to work on part time hours, who is looking for additional income to support their studies at university or who is looking to gain administrative experience within an arts setting.
The ideal candidate will be be able to work flexibly as well as from our office in Southampton’s Cultural Quarter. They should be comfortable with occasional lone working, as well as working with different members of the Sound Pop Academy team.
Below are what we consider the main responsibilities of a Sound Pop Academy (SPA) Administrator:
- To oversee membership queries and questions by acting as the main point of contact
- To support with the administration of all academy activity, such as membership administration and emails to larger tasks such as performance management
- To organise and schedule appointments and meetings
- To manage the on-boarding, off-boarding and management of academy memberships
- To assist the with any tasks that may need administrative support, including scheduling emails, managing performances and register updates
- To manage room bookings and contact with venues
- To upload and publish member content to the members’ area when necessary
- To ensure office policies and procedures are maintained and updated
- General day-to-day administration to ensure smooth running of all academy locations
- To develop and maintain a filing system and system processes
- Management and storage of different data types
- Plus any other duties required from time to time, that are deemed part of the job

Education:
- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
