SeaRegs Training is a respected provider of maritime training in the South West offering Apprenticeships, MCA/STCW, SQA, RYA and Highfield courses to individuals and organisations.
Our office and classroom facilities are in Plymouth and as an ESFA Apprenticeship Main Provider we require a self-motivated person to manage the required admin for Apprenticeships, liaising with Employers and Apprentices, creating and processing enrolment paperwork, updating learner records each month. Working with the Curriculum and Compliance Manager to develop the training programmes and effectively communicate the details to relevant parties as well as keeping apprentice records up to date.
Currently the role is based on 2 days per week dedicated to apprenticeships with the remaining time assisting the Office Manager with the course administration and preparation for our Maritime short courses. It is a varied role involving the use of PC’s for word processing and data entry, general assistance in classroom and training aid preparation, and being an extra pair of hands.
Hours
We’re looking for a full time person. There will be work on at least one Saturday a month for which time off in lieu or extra pay is offered. It is also expected that cover for one Bank Holiday from March to September will be required, again for which time off in lieu or extra pay is offered.
Requirements
Enthusiastic
Good communicator with a ready smile as you will be customer facing
Eye for detail
Ideally an interest and background in boats or seafaring
Computer literate with generally good level of English grammar
We are not concerned about qualifications – it’s the person that counts.
