Qualified Care Residential Services are now looking for an individual to join our Placement Team.
- To maintain a high quality of care and support to our young people.
- To maintain close communication with our young people’s social work team to make sure as a company we meet their physical, emotional & intellectual needs.
- Updating policies & procedures, risk assessments.
- Audit and review any reports sent to you via staff members.
- Establishing a positive relationship with young people and social work team. Always offering then unconditional support and positive regard.
- Assisting the staff in helping the young people gain self-control by challenging unacceptable behaviour and rewarding acceptable, pro-social conduct.
- Ensuring that young people’s care plan is being followed by staff. Amend as appropriate to reflect their changing needs.
- Being first point of contact for all YP’s social work teams.
- Researching different frameworks to develop business.
- Sending out FOI Requests on a regular basis.
- Researching referral processes in different cities/boroughs and local authorities.
- Always sourcing out third-party agencies to help upskill our staff.
- Attending all professional meetings relating to our young people.
- Recruit and train staff for our supported living homes. Alongside this undertake any recruitment/compliance duties asked of you.
- Rota Duties.
- Booking appointments.
- Attend meetings on behalf of all line managers.
- To act as a keyworker and co-worker for a young person to ensure that the young person’s care plans are up to date, and their care needs are being met.
- To act as a positive role model to be able to offer advice, guidance, and assistance where appropriate.
- Preparing and completing new homes for new referrals the company has.
- Conduct site visits/meetings/audits/inspections etc.
- General Admin.
- Assisting the service manager in staff supervisions.
- Planning any activities for our young people to do.
- Post new job ads as and when needed.
- On Call Duties
- Keeping accurate records and providing written reports on young people for planning meetings, reviews or any other meetings as directed by the service manager.
- Assisting the contract manager in any new tasks that may be asked of you.
- Empowering both our young people and staff, by facilitating their active involvement in the decision-making process in their lives and future.
- Acting as an advocate at meetings where the young person is the subject of discussion, role model to be able to offer service, guidance, and assistance where appropriate.
- Encourage the staff to support the young people in developing links within the community, attend off -site activities and expand their personal social network.
- Delegating daily tasks to the staff ie. Cleaning, Daily Reports, Cleaning young people’s room etc.
- From time to time completing tasks that are outside of your role.
- Cost & Package referrals that are sent to us via the Local Authority.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £10.50 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Supplemental pay types:
- Commission pay
- Performance bonus
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Croydon: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Supported Living: 1 year (preferred)
