Job description
We are seeking to recruit an excellent Administrative Assistant to work as part of our busy multi-disciplinary Drug and Alcohol Service to be the first point of contact on a very busy reception and on the telephone. The post holder will also be responsible for creating, recording and filing computer generated prescriptions. The post also involves administrative and organisational support for the service.
The successful candidate will have excellent I.T. and typing skills and understand the importance of confidentiality. The post holder must be able to work under pressure and be able to multi-task. The post holder will present a professional manner, be tactful and diplomatic, exercising excellent communication skills to uphold the positive image of the service and Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will have excellent administration and organisational skills.
To provide cover for busy Reception, including answering the phone and greeting service users and visitors to the service.
To produce, record and file computer generated prescriptions.
To offer administrative and organisational support to the multi-disciplinary Drug and Alcohol Service.
The compilation, inputting and retrieval of data using information technology and paper systems.
To monitor and order stock.

All new starters to Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust who are appointed to a post which requires a Disclosure Barring Certificate check (DBS) will be recharged for the full cost of the check. Substantive staff will have the amount deducted from their first months’ salary.
