Job description

Since the beginning of the 2023 OCU have moved into an exciting new phase which means we are always looking for the very best talent to join our teams. Due to our continued growth, we have a new opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join our Team at our Borehamwood Head Office. You will provide administrative support to the Quantity Surveyor, ensuring quality data administration and customer service for both internal and external customers. Helping to ensure commercial records are accurately maintained with respect to Direct Labour, Subcontractors, Plant, Material, Consumable and Administration costs and Project Valuation.

Responsibilities

  • Administration of contract records
  • Preparation of Project Packs for application purposes
  • Assist with weekly reporting
  • Assist with the preparation of Subcontract payments
  • Maintain and update Subcontractor information and contractual arrangements
  • Preparation of timesheets for operatives
  • Preparation of audit back-up Information
  • Assisting with the production of financial and statistical reports as required
  • Close liaison with, and provision of assistance to, operational and support staff
  • Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post

Skills & Experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels including directors.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated, and able to work on own initiative; enthusiastic with ‘can do’ attitude
  • Proficiency in Excel

Desirable

  • Previous experience within utilities construction
  • Driving License
