Location: Police Headquarters, Northallerton. Agile working for a proportion of shifts may be accommodated.

We have an opportunity for a Vetting and PSD Admin Support Officer to join our Professional Standards Department (PSD) to provide support across North Yorkshire Police (NYP).
The Vetting and PSD Department play a vital part of ensuring professional standards of NYP are maintained but also to complete thorough vetting of all those who join the service. You will be proving administrative support to all teams within the PSD Department, including Vetting and the Anti-Corruption Unit.
Responsibilities:
- Clerical and administrative functions including the office filing, pending systems and mail.
- Inputting, searching and retrieving information from computer applications
- Using Data to prepare reports.
- Distribute correspondence
- To formulate and prepare correspondence and other documentation.
- To initiate basic vetting, PSD & ACU enquiries
- Manage the PSD and Vetting inboxes.
- Use of departmental computer systems to record all incoming work
Requirements:
- Demonstrate excellent IT skills
- Be able to produce timely and accurate work
- Have experience of working within a secure and confidential environment
- Be knowledgeable of Microsoft programmes.
- Have excellent communication skill
